I bought this for my bedroom and it really works. It won't turn on until it reaches the temperature you set, but then it'll never turn off again, no matter how cold it gets. This is a REAL air conditioner, not a swamp cooler, and it requires external venting. Your window bar works well and I am happy with it.

The biggest problem with this is the installation of the window part! My husband and I got extra caulk (foam) to keep the sliding parts flush with the window. It's worth it - protects from hot air and insects! The device itself is quite loud, you can have a conversation on it, but not at a normal volume. Would buy the coverall again because it cools the room so damn efficiently!

My package arrived quickly! At the autopsy we had a part that appeared to be defective. I contacted the seller and within two days I had the replacement part and it was fine. This air conditioner works great. This keeps the bedroom at a very cool temperature. I love the extra features this unit offers and if it gets too cold at night I like to have the remote by my bed so I don't have to get up. This is a great device for the price and the customer service has been great.

Two months later, this air conditioner started releasing freon and causing asthma attacks. Tried to contact support three times, always closed. Finally got through and the agent was rude and even though the item is under warranty the buyer has to pay all shipping costs (about $100).
