Regarding cost and usefulness. I did so to supplement the lg42lb675v TV's internal speakers by a negligible amount. Disappointment at the incompatibility of this soundbar with my LG TV One, the sound cannot be adjusted using the remote (either in any way, or the slider changes, but there is no sound) when viewing the image through the optics. as I'm in need of LG Sync help. Second, avoid using the SPDIF cable (which may not be compatible with your TV). Third, the sound is softer and more raspy when transmitted by jack-rca cable and jack-jack. Both the speaker and the TV's volume need to be turned down (thankfully, LG engineers made this adjustment possible). At least the volume increased. The music sounds better. Fourth, while playing Scooter - How much is the fish? through Bluetooth from my phone, the speaker swayed nicely but not to maximum loudness. However, I did not download it on my phone to listen to later (!). In general, I am not quite satisfied with the purchase. The benefits are dubious, and the drawbacks are numerous. Adding the cost of the speaker and you now have LG acoustics, which avoid all of the aforementioned flaws, can be synced with your TV, and come with a subwoofer. However, research shows that TV interfaces are where the "TV + soundbar" bundle's problems lie.
