False description of a VERY thin, LOW QUALITY product

When this sleeping bag arrived I was wondering what it was - never dawned on me it was the sleeping bag because of the very small size of the box it arrived in. They advertised lightweight when what they should have said was THIN! I can't imagine it would keep you warm in 40 degree weather! Also, I don't know what they mean by "zipper guard" but it's just a plain old zipper with no "guard" at all. More importantly, the filling of this bag (the part that is SUPPOSED to keep you warm!) doesn't come up to the zipper at all! At the top of the bag there is a 3" gap between where the filling ends and the zipper. If you zip the bag and measure the gap in the filling from one side across the zipper to the filling on the other side, it's about a 6" gap at the top and a 4" gap at the bottom of the bag. Are you kidding me!?! How in the world would you not get cold in 40 degrees with that kind of gap!?! It is also NOT cotton lined as stated in the title. The body of the description (which I didn't see and that's on me but since the title SAID cotton lined I wasn't really looking for it) lists the lining material as 190 T Polyester Pongee. So be aware of that. This would not work at any time except in a hot summer when you don't need a bag at all and, trust me, it won't offer any cushioning between you and the ground! Might as well just take a sheet with you. Don't waste your money and time on this! YOU WON'T BE HAPPY and it will just take up more of your time to return it! Look elsewhere!

Pros
  • She seemed to like it. Crawled right in it!
Cons
  • Lacks proper ventilation, leading to sweating and discomfort
